Hi, I’m Fiona, the Poet behind Berry Poetic.

Berry Poetic was born after years of writing poems for friends and family for special occasions. In 2009 I was bridesmaid for my good friends and wanted to write something meaningful for them. I’d always thought I was rubbish at writing what I wanted to say, but after many attempts, what I wanted to say became a poem! It went down so well at their wedding (think tears and laughter) that every wedding after, it became my ‘thing’ – everyone wanted (expected!) a personalised poem from me! And I loved it!

Then friends’ babies started coming along, what better gift than a personalised new baby poem?! Then ‘big’ birthdays, anniversaries and more. I even wrote a poem of my grandma’s life for her funeral which was such an amazing way to remember and share what an incredible woman she was.

Over time, I’ve been approached by friends of friends and colleagues to write poems for their upcoming events and special people in their lives. People began to tell me I should do it professionally. So, I am! I absolutely love seeing people’s reactions to my poems, their stories.

Writing personalised poems as gifts for people is such a special and unique way to mark any occasion, whatever it may be. Personalised poems can tell a story that evokes emotions and memories and will last a life time, immortalising those milestones and events in loved one’s lives.

The name Berry Poetic comes from my family name Berry and well, I’m Berry Poetic.
